Renting a golf cart is the easiest and most fun and most popular way to get around the island. Put in Bay was made to be traveled by golf cart and in fact each one is a licensed vehicle on the roads! Golf carts are fun for kids and adults alike (although only adults are allowed to drive them) and are a unique way to get around. Try something different and rent one for your transportation needs during your stay on Put in Bay Ohio. Bikes and mopeds are another great way to see everything the island has to offer and the kids just love it. Delaware Golf Cart and Bike Rental is located in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay and features late model Club Car golf carts, Tomos mopeds, and Atlas bicycles.

Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals
Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals, located at the end of Catawba Avenue in South Bass Island State Park, offers visitors to Put-in-Bay water rides for the entire family. Come enjoy a water vista like no other during your island adventure. Jet skis, jet boats, power boats and kayaks are available. Refreshments nearby at the top of the hill.

Aquatic Visitors Center
The Aquatic Visitors Center is a great place for kids to go fishing and learn about Ohio marine life. Equipment is available to be loaned out. Also at the center are live fish displays, the former state hatchery, a playroom, hands-on exhibits and more. The center is open to the public from late May through September. Admission is free.

The Butterfly House
Put-in-Bay's newest family attraction opened in 2004, the Put in Bay Butterfly Museum at Perry's Cave. This unique habitat features a large variety of Butterflies and is divided into three separate rooms or environments. DiRivera Park
This beautiful park in downtown Put in Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of Lake Erie and Delaware Avenue. Get lunch to go and eat at one of the picnic tables. Kids will have fun on the playground and climbing on the cannons. Learn about Put in Bay's history from the various memorials and statues around the park. Public bathhouse is available for use.

Heineman's Winery / Crystal Cave
Heineman's Winery, which has been making wine on the island for more than 100 years, offers tours of the winery and wine and grape juice tasting in their beautiful wine garden. It is also home to Crystal Cave, the world's largest geode. Visitors can tour the awe-inspiring cave, which kept the winery running during Prohibition when wine couldn't be produced. Island Tour Train
A great way to see and learn about the island is a narrated ride aboard the island tour train. This one-hour tour of the sites and history of Put-in-Bay makes stops at numerous island attractions and shares a wealth of information. Kayak the Bay

Kimberly's Carousel
You can hear the carnival-esque music from this 1917 Herschel carousel from down the street. Kimberly's Carousel is one of the last merry-go-rounds in operation in the country. Take a ride on a chicken, pig, rooster, cow or the island favorite – Pete the Perch. Tickets can be purchased inside The Carriage House for $1.50.

Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Museum
This beautiful and educational three-building museum is dedicated to the rich history of the Lake Erie Islands. Walk through the Transportation Building filled with boats or view the models of some of the greatest ships to sail Lake Erie. Perry's Cave
Take a tour of one of Put-in-Bay's most well known historical landmarks. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry discovered Perry's Cave during the War of 1812. The underground lake in the cave provided his men with fresh drinking water. Visitors can take tours of the limestone cave, which last about 20 minutes. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket – it's about 50 degrees down there! Admission is $7.00 ($4.00 kids).

Perry Peace Memorial and Visitors Center
On 10 September 1813, Master Commandant Oliver Hazard Perry won one of the biggest victories in the War of 1812. In 1912 the construction of a 352-ft. memorial in his honor began; in 1936 it became part of the National Park System and was declared a National Monument by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Visitors can take an elevator up 317 ft. to the observation deck, where they can see the Lake Erie Islands and the shores of Michigan, Ohio and Ontario. During the summer season, park rangers give talks and living history demonstrations complete with period uniforms and a firing demonstration on the memorial's plaza. Stop by the Perry Victory Visitors Center to see a 15-minute movie about the War of 1812, a large display area, three large historically accurate paintings of the battle, a statue of Perry from 1860 and a gift shop. Admission is $3.00.

South Bass Island State Park
The state park is a great place to camp, but there's plenty to do for everyone. Stone Laboratory Field Office
Created in 1895 and located on the 6.5-acre Gibraltar Island at Put-in-Bay, Frantz Theodore Stone Laboratory is Ohio's Lake Erie laboratory. It is the nation's oldest freshwater biological field station and the Island Campus of The Ohio State University. The Laboratory offers college-level courses each summer with faculty and students coming from all over the country. Since 1990, students from 40 Ohio colleges, 27 out-of-state colleges, and 257 high schools have taken these courses for college credit. The Laboratory also provides a facility for year-round research, offers special conference facilities and speakers, and develops and offers custom-designed Aquatic Workshop programs for grades 4 through adult with over 5,000 participants annually.
